The Laboratory Scientist will serve as an operational resource for the operational lab and the testing services lab.The scope includes laboratory bench work, data analysis and general activities in the laboratory. The Laboratory Scientist must have appropriate training, experience and professional experience to take ownership of and work with the following activities.

Responsibilities include but not necessarily limited to:


  • To independently run defined methods in the service and operational laboratories and perform data analysis work within defined procedures and practices.
  • Process responsibility within the service testing laboratory
  • Train laboratory technicians in defined methods
  • Generation and review of new/revised laboratory protocols, procedures and work related to continuous improvements as defined within specific projects
  • Responsibilities within the establishment and maintenance of technical documentation and activities to generate this documentation as applicable within the specific projects, prior to final QA review and approval.
  • Liaise with appropriate CareDx personnel to ensure laboratory activities are performed in compliance with all appropriate requirements.
  • Subject matter expertise in technical investigations relating to the testing services.

Competence requirements:


  • Master’s degree in molecular Genetics, Molecular Biology, Medical Science or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of HLA, transplant and/or Immuno-genetics
  • Experience with sequencing assays and ability to independently work in an NGS and qPCR laboratory and analyze data
  • Demonstrated experience of working in a quality-controlled environment
  • This position will require strong problem-solving skills and excellent oral, written and communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of English
