This role is crucial to ensuring we maintain a steady pipeline of qualified and professional drivers to support our expanding operations in the Southeast ports.
This role must be located in Charleston, Savannah, and Jacksonville. No exceptions.Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively source, attract, and recruit qualified Company Drivers and Owner Operators to sublet leased equipment for intermodal trucking operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with driving schools, transportation networks, and industry organizations to create a pipeline of potential candidates.
- Conduct initial interviews and pre-qualify candidates based on Atlas Marine’s hiring standards and requirements.
- Collaborate with operations and safety teams to ensure compliance with all regulations and qualifications.
- Manage the entire recruitment process, including advertising job openings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating onboarding.
- Track recruitment metrics and performance indicators, providing regular reports to management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, driver compensation, and competitor recruitment strategies.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience from initial contact to final onboarding.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in driver recruitment, preferably within the intermodal or drayage sectors.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and compliance standards related to Owner Operators.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume recruitment efforts and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with drivers.
- Experience using recruitment platforms and ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems).
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
The expected salary range for this role is $40,000 to $60,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law.
