What you’ll do


As a Senior Backend Engineer focused on AI, you will design and develop backend systems that support AI-powered functionalities. Working closely with a collaborative team, your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain backend infrastructure that enables high-performance AI solutions.

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve AI-powered backend applications.
  • Implement backend systems in Java that support cloud-based AI solutions, with a focus on performance and scalability.
  • Participate in technical design, code reviews, and agile development activities.
  • Contribute to ongoing technical design and architecture discussions.
  • Mentor and provide guidance on AI best practices to team members across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Software Developers, and DevOps engineers.

What you’ll need


  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience with Java, with proven proficiency in building scalable solutions.
  • Solid understanding of AI technologies and architectures, such as Transformer models and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
  • Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus) and Parameter Efficient Fine Tuning (PEFT).
  • Familiarity with orchestration frameworks for AI (LangChain, LlamaIndex) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of cloud environments (AWS or Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD processes and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Python is desirable, particularly for AI orchestration.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
