Position:  Leasing Specialist for Central Island Square Apartments – Charleston, SC


Role Overview


As a Leasing Specialist for Central Island Square located on Daniel Island, you will work at a fast pace to lease beautiful apartment homes in a very competitive market. In addition, you will deliver after-sales service to meet the ongoing needs of existing residents. We are looking for an all-star Leasing Specialist who enjoys a multi-faceted role which includes leasing, resident engagement, event planning, social media maintenance, marketing outreach, and customer service.  We offer competitive hourly rate + commission/bonus + 20% rent discount + health insurance/dental/vision/401K + paid training

Most Important Responsibilities 


  • Have a hunter’s mentality. Prepare endlessly and wade through contacts and leads to put yourself in a position to lease as many apartments as possible.  
  • Create and conduct fun events for the residents on a monthly basis.  
  • The discipline to follow up. Consistent follow-ups are one of the most valuable acts for anyone in a sales role.  
  • Be politely persistent. Don’t take no for an answer.  
  • Product knowledge. Understand our product and be able to articulate its value.  
  • Develop relationships. Build and manage a portfolio of relationships.  
  • Collaborate with your team. Understand the unique needs of prospects and residents to determine the best solution.  

Most Important Qualifications 


  • Ability to sell at the high market rate.
  • Previous Leasing experience is strongly preferred, including social media marketing and planning resident events.  Class A exp a plus!
  • Hospitality, sales, customer service experience also considered.
  • Must be willing to work rotating weekend hours.  
  • Excellent communication skills.  
  • Self-motivation and drive. Quick on your feet with a strong work ethic.  
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.  
  • People skills. Ability to have conversations with prospects and to listen to their real needs, so you can build rapport and trust.  
  • Charisma. Must be likable to prospects and residents.  
  • Empathy. Relating to the customers and supporting them.  
  • Confidence. Never let go of opportunities and stay positive.
