Position Summary:
RAM Industrial, an ISS company is seeking a reliable Motor Winder to perform winding process of AC/DC motors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand and follow all Safety processes and procedures including the use of required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Read job cards to determine: job status, work authorization/limitations, estimate, description of problems and/or work scope.
- Accurately read and record winding data from units being rewound.
- Wind AC, DC Fields, Armatures, wound rotors and equalizers.
- Install and or replace banding of an armature or rotor
- Perform stator core loss testing and record in technical traveler.
- Perform the restoration of stator irons as needed.
- Work with winding random, mush, synchronous, and form coils.
- Perform a battery of electrical tests.
- Dip and bake stators as required by the technical traveler.
- Utilize bake ovens to cure varnish treatments.
- Keep work area Safe, clean and organized.
- Perform all other duties as signed by the Production Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, technical or trade school or on the job training.
- Passing the RAM administered Bennett Mechanical Aptitude test.
- Passing the RAM administered color deficiency test.
- Ability to understand and retain various skill related training and operational and Safety procedures.
- Work varying shifts, weekends and holidays when required.
- Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Occasionally push and pull parts, kneel and crouch.
- Continuously stand and frequently walk.
