Senior Billing Analyst

About the role


The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detailed, motivated, and ambitious individual who is looking for an opportunity to join a rapidly expanding software company that is dedicated to being an industry leader.  The Sr. Billing Analyst will be responsible for all billing functions and data analysis and will report directly to the Director of Billing Operations. 

What you’ll do as a Sr. Billing Analyst


  • Manage customer accounts, send invoices, and update accounts to reflect changes 
  • Perform billing data analysis to ensure proper billing of customers based on SaaS usage
  • Document and maintain billing processes, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain new and existing customer contracts and related record keeping 
  • Cross departmental collaboration to support customers 
  • Assist junior-level team members
  • Escalate customer issues to the Billing Lead
  • Handle billing complaints and discrepancies, issue credit memos when necessary 

What we’re looking for


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • 3-6 years of experience in billing or financial analysis experience is required 
  • Knowledge of billing responsibilities, billing systems, data analysis, and process improvement
  • Expert level in Excel 
  • Experience working for a SaaS company is preferred
  • Ability to deal with customers directly  
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work 
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment 
  • Willingness to work hard, take direction, and anticipate problems and their solutions without explicit guidance 
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements 

Nice to haves


  • Previous experience with Maxio(SaaSOptics) billing software is a plus
  • NetSuite experience is preferred 
  • Experience working with a distributed/remote team
