Inventory Control Coordinator
Job DescriptionReceive and coordinate all assets and materials inbound and outbound shipments. Assist warehouse workers, purchasing agents and production departments in obtaining and issuing material to production departments to promote the best flow of material. This position follows inventory procedures, including determination and computer entry of inventory planning data, cycle counts and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies. Safely operates, maintains, and carries out assigned tasks of forklift operation to assist production and move products throughout the Plant and warehouse areas.Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain quantities of material, parts and products in the warehousing system as requested. Adjust material, parts, and products in the most efficient storage arrangement.
- Cooperate and communicate with outside vendors and truck drivers as necessary.
- Ensures the period cycle counts are completed accurately on an agreed schedule.
- Process and Post Inventory Receipts into the ERP system.
- Coordinates and informs Buyer of any Inbound P.O.s Qty discrepancies or Cost variances.
- Research variances between actual physical stock count and computerized balance and adjust stock to the correct amount(s).
- Monitors the rotation of products and ensures that the condition of products in the assigned area is up to standard for sale.
- Performs Basic Quality Inspection requirements as per drawings or specification.
- Performs checks on asset inventory in the yard.
- Maintains asset inventory spreadsheets.
- Learn and understand asset status to help determine which assets to use for order and repairs.
- Write up estimates for assets coming in for off-hire from customers.
- Perform routine maintenance on the forklift, i.e., check the oil and hydraulics and change propane bottles.
- Perform periodic testing of ISO tank.
- Work with third party inspectors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of inventory systems, Material Process Systems (MPS) and ability to maintain current inventory records.
- Microsoft Excel
- Ability to complete various reports as required per Hoover CS policy and mandating regulations.
- Ability to read and understand directions, blueprints, procedures, product labels, nonconformance reports and check lists.
- Ability to add and subtract; multiply and divide; is familiar with fractions and decimals.
- Ability to use a scale to weigh products, materials, and products.
Requirements:
- Two to three years of successful continuous employment in an industrial setting where incumbent would have learned to be productive.
- Ability to clearly communicate with all other employees throughout the plant, office and Stock Room, including by radio transmission.
Physical Demands:
- Moderate physical effort which requires standing on a concrete floor for prolonged periods of time and going up and down steps.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently.
- Good hand / eye coordination and visual acuity.
Work Environment:
- This position is in a warehouse environment.
- Will be working in different weather conditions.
- Subject to loud noises.
