About the role
We are looking for a driven and resourceful Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our sales process by identifying, qualifying, and setting up initial meetings with potential clients. You will be the first point of contact for prospects, helping to educate them on our offerings, understand their business challenges, and generate interest. Success in this role lays the foundation for a potential career in sales or account management within our organization.
On a typical day, you will…
- Prospecting: Research and identify potential customers through various channels, including social media, industry publications, and inbound leads.
- Outreach: Conduct outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach to engage and qualify potential leads.
- Qualifying Leads: Assess prospect needs, pain points, and fit by asking targeted questions and qualifying leads for handoff to Account Executives (AEs).
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies, ensure a smooth lead handoff, and refine outreach techniques.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate lead and prospect information in the CRM, tracking all interactions and setting up follow-up tasks.
- Follow-up: Nurture and follow up on unqualified leads or cold prospects over time, keeping them engaged with relevant content and updates.
What you’ll need to bring…
- Experience: 1-2 years in sales, business development, or a related role; experience in B2B SaaS or technology is a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, particularly in phone and email outreach; listening actively and asking insightful questions.
- Tools: Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), sales automation tools, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Attributes: Goal-oriented, highly motivated, resilient, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
