The Senior Global Accountant will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing intercompany transactions and the month-end close process for a global organization. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of intercompany accounts, resolving discrepancies, and facilitating a smooth month-end close. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in global accounting and a strong grasp of intercompany accounting practices.The candidate MUST have a solid understanding and experience of the end-to-end accounting closecycle, be detail-oriented, highly motivated, possess a positive attitude, have a strong sense of urgency,and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where changing priorities frequently occurbased on operational needs.Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and perform the monthly consolidation of the financial statements, close activities relating to intercompany transactions and consolidations, reconciliation of intercompany accounts, and other related transactions
  • Prepare or review journal entries and reconciliations as assigned for various GL accounting functions including but not limited to accruals, prepayments, leases, bank reconciliations, and fixed assets.
  • Oversee intercompany reconciliation among all the entities and prepare reconciliation schedules for the intercompany transactions between parent company and subsidiaries
  • Be the point of contact for all intercompany and consolidation accounting processes and related issues (e.g., intercompany sales, loans, payable settlements, transfer pricing, etc.)
  • Maintain and oversee accurate foreign exchange rates in NetSuite to support proper consolidation and valuation as well as prepare CTA validation and FX impact schedule
  • Prepare, review, and support SOX activities and the quarterly reviews/ year-end audit with external auditors as assigned
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis and support special projects as the need arises

Qualifications and Skills:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA is a plus
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in GL accounting, intercompany, and consolidation
  • Public accounting experience preferred (Big 4 or large national firm)
  • NetSuite One World module and multibook experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
  • Excellent communication, organization, project management, and leadership skills
