JOB TITLE: CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR
LOCATION: Arnold Air Force Base, Tullahoma, TN
JOB DESCRIPTION
iParametrics is partnering with a leading engineering, procurement, and construction company to support three large projects under the test operations and sustainability program for the Department of Defense at Arnold Air Force Base in Tullahoma, TN. (Tullahoma is southeast of Nashville.) We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team.
The Construction Estimator plays a critical role in accurately projecting the costs and resources needed for construction projects. This individual is responsible for reviewing engineering documents and project scope to develop detailed cost estimates, ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for. The role involves collaboration with various teams, including procurement and subject matter experts (SMEs), to gather accurate pricing and input. The Construction Estimator ensures that all estimates align with project goals, standards, and client expectations, contributing to the success of high-value construction projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze engineering documents and project data to define the scope of work.
- Develop and implement estimating plans and documentation.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to draft specifications and obtain pricing for subcontractor support and specialized equipment.
- Coordinate with project managers and SMEs to ensure accurate and complete cost inputs.
- Select and apply appropriate estimating methodologies for various project components.
- Prepare and oversee the development of comprehensive cost estimates.
- Participate in estimate review processes and incorporate feedback to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain and update estimating tools, databases, and documentation to improve estimating efficiency.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Per the Department of Defense, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in construction management, engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 25 years of experience in estimating, construction management, project controls, or related fields.
- Proven experience developing cost estimates for large-scale construction projects, including heavy industrial, commercial, and/or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., RSMeans, ProEst, Bluebeam).
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience estimating multi-million or multi-billion-dollar construction projects.
- Familiarity with projects involving heavy industrial processes, oil and gas, or nuclear facilities.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION
As a W2 employee of iParametrics, team members are eligible for benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance, company matching 401K plan, and PTO. All benefits are subject to plan terms and applicable waiting periods. This is an exempt position with an annual salary of $145,000 to $162,000 based on experience, background, and skills.
PROJECT LOCATION & PER DIEMS
Arnold Air Force Base is approximately one hour southeast of suburban Nashville, TN. All candidates should expect to be on site at the project for its duration of approximately two years. Per diems and rotations will not be provided. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
