GGWP is a fast-paced start-up co-founded by three successful entrepreneurs with the backing of key strategic investors in the video game industry. GGWP aims to curb toxicity in gaming. We are working with popular online video games to build more positive communities. We are developing a scalable and secure data platform to process large amounts of gameplay, chat, and audio data and building an AI system to help detect different types of toxic behavior and their severity.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will primarily work cross functionally with Engineering teams to build automation and infrastructure for the core GGWP platform. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Architects, and Product teams to build scalable infrastructure to support a global platform. You will work closely with Engineering Leads and Architects to ensure efficient use of resources and to help ensure proper tooling integration with broader development infrastructure.We are seeking talented DevOps Engineers to join our team.
Your responsibilities as a DevOps Engineer will include:
- Building scalable infrastructure in AWS
- Using Terraform to build, maintain, and quickly reproduce infrastructure in multiple environments
- Work cross functionally with Full Stack Engineers and Data Scientists to productionize APIs and data pipelines
- Build robust and reproducible automation to quickly build, deploy, and test artifacts in multiple integration environments
- Build and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure the stability and on-going performance of production systems
- Ensure that existing and future design of systems are secure and meets current security best practices
- Evaluation of new technology alternatives and vendor coordination
What we are looking for:
- 2+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer or adjacent titles
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong knowledge and proficiency with AWS (VPC, EC2, Lambdas, ECS, DynamoDB, RDS, Elasticache, S3, Cloudwatch, etc.)
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages
- Experience with Jenkins or other equivalent CI/CD tooling
- Familiarity with Docker and Git (preferably BitBucket)
- Ability to think critically and creatively in a dynamic environment, while picking up new tools and domain knowledge along the way
- A positive attitude, and a growth mindset
- Great attention to detail
- A knack for evangelizing processes through workshops, writing effective documents etc.
