NOVA Engineering and Environmental is hiring a
Permit Technician in Dunwoody, GA. This is an on-site position, and we need someone local to the north Atlanta metropolitan area. The Permit Technician will interact on a daily basis with the NOVA's code inspectors, plans examiners, building officials, and local municipal clients. Customer service, organization, detail-oriented, and multi-tasking is a must. This is a full-time position with benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k w/ matching) and many more perks.
Required Skills/Essential Functions:
- Working knowledge of construction permitting and building code inspection process
- Maintain effective customer service relationship with clients and customers to service all their building department needs
- Establish and maintain systems to ensure that all files, letters, reference manuals, field inspection reports, permit files, blueprints drawings, and other data or material is maintained in an organized fashion.
- Proficient in Office, Word, Excel, and Adobe
- Work with plans examiners and inspectors throughout the company to develop and ensure consistent processes
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager
Minimum Qualifications and Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent education; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Valid State Driver’s license
- Organized and efficient with basic computer skills (Office, Word, Excel, and Adobe)
Preferred Qualifications:
- ICC Permit Technician certification (not required)
