Asset Manager.
As part of the Asset Management team, this position is instrumental in the Company’s growth, and is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for an assigned portfolio of properties and contributing to building the asset management platform. This position reports to the Director of Asset Management.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the full life cycle of an asset portfolio, including onboarding new assets, formulating and executing value-add strategies, managing stabilized assets, and determining the optimal time to sell.
- Accountable for independently formulating and executing short-and long-term asset strategies, while aligning with the broader strategic objectives of the company. Professionally and effectively present recommendations and performance insights to senior management and related partners.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews, market analyses, and property evaluations to identify opportunities for value enhancement.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, professional development and results.
- Manage and mentor a team of Asset Management Associates and Analysts. Maintain a deep understanding of retail properties, the time value of money, complex deal structures, real estate finance, leasing, property management, and construction.
- Ability to review, analyze and comment on the financial information produced by your team, including the expertise to evaluate and assess complex financial models.
- Identify and implement processes, metrics, and benchmarks to enhance reporting and performance tracking for portfolio projects.
- Provide regular status updates on portfolio assets through relevant reports and supporting documentation to senior management and real estate committees.
- Proactively propose corrective solutions to mitigate risk.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10-15 years’ experience in retail real estate asset management or equivalent experience in the retail asset class, including the ability to assess the physical condition of a property, its marketability, and its management. Extensive experience with retail assets is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, follow through on assignments, assess changing conditions, and make recommendations with supporting analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in the face of ambiguity.
- Self-motivated with an effective interpersonal and collaborative working style, along with a strong work ethic and a “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
- Expert Excel skills and familiarity with Google productivity tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and a strong sense of urgency.
