Cure Technician

We currently operate in the States of Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Colorado and Michigan as a medical and/or adult use cannabis provider to patients and customers. The Cultivation Technician II - Cure position is responsible for executing their daily role within the Cure department at an effective pace with accuracy to achieve the weekly objectives. This role is responsible for a variety of duties to organize and process the dried cannabis product. This position must fulfill their role with efficient productivity and accuracy. The Cure Technician role must participate in their job with professionalism and safety, consistently. The Cure Technician will report to the Supervisors of Cure and Manager of Cure.

This role will support the Supervisors and Manager of Cure to guide other Cure department members to achieve objectives effectively.The total compensation for this position is $17.00 - $18.00 an hour. 

Essential Duties


Procedures & Tasks

  • Supporting the Manager of Post Harvest and Cure Lead to guide and train Cure department members to organize and process the dried cannabis product. Ensure product is dried and cured properly, sorted through machinery efficiently, remediate product as necessary, trimming product according to desired texture and appearance, and properly store it for the next phase of Processing.
  • Operating machinery to sort and trim dried cannabis product as instructed and trained, safely. Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the machinery to sustain longevity and performance.
  • Executing objectives to achieve desired quality and consistently throughout assignment.
  • Organization and reporting data entries to spreadsheets and logs, including weigh-ins. Ensuring accurate and legible logging of a variety of spreadsheets and labels.
  • Support the communication and secure transport of dried product from the Cure Bay area to Processing rooms. • Quality assurance review of product to be properly separated and processed. Communicating concerns with leadership of the department for missorted or unsatisfactory dried cannabis product.
  • Properly achieving Top Shelf objectives to maintain quotas based on instruction from leadership. 
  • Clear understanding of workflow throughout the Processing department.
  • Take instructions and follow direction as delegated by leadership to meet daily and weekly, individual and team production and quality standards.
  • Be prepared to change technique and instruction based on variables, R&D codes, and strain attributes.
  • Assist associates to achieve team goals, and support the Cure department with instructed requests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Be prepared to execute tasks within the Processing department, along with assisting towards company and facility objectives.
  • Work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity. Meet daily quotas. • Maintain a culture of professionalism.
  • Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to assisting other departments to help facilitate the additional and/or supplemental work, such as, Trim dept tasks, Packaging dept tasks, Farm dept tasks, cleaning, and light maintenance as needed throughout the facility.

Workspace and Material Maintenance

  • Supporting the Manager of Post Harvest and Cure Lead to guide and train Cure department members to maintain proper organization of the Cure Bays and Processing rooms.
  • Ensure the organization and cleanliness of the Cure department processing areas. Ensure organization and cleanliness of the immediate work area.
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance on work surfaces, tools, and related equipment (scissors, • table, floors etc.).
  • Contribute to instructed cleaning, sanitizing, and organization in the Processing department areas.
  • Contribute and show support to associates with a safe, well maintained, and organized work area.
  • After use of equipment or supply, follow through with cleaning and organizing SOPs. Compliance and Reporting
  • Follow all instructed state and federal compliance regulations.
  • Report any improper action of compliance regulations.
  • Following instructed procedures will maintain compliance and safety. Any compliance or safety mistake or error created must be reported to the leadership of the department.
  • Reporting data input as instructed for METRC plant tags.

Supervision & Job Requirements 

  • Works under the direct supervision of the Manager of Post Harvest and Cure Lead.
  • This position is expected to follow and obey the company policies.
  • This position is expected to guide and train associates of the department to help as needed within the duties of the Cure Technician.

Working Conditions

  • Able to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Able to move about a typical office, manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Working in proper PPE at all times of scheduled shift to sustain GMP model certification.
  • Able to kneel, bend, reach, rotate, and stoop on an intermittent to regular basis daily.
  • Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Consistent on-time attendance for all scheduled shifts. Prepared for full 40 hour week working scheduled shifts with occasional overtime shifts to complete daily and weekly objectives.

Job Qualifications


Work Experience

  • Preferred commercial cannabis experience of 1 year to apply.
  • One year of work experience in a related industry or work environment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrates ability to consistently meet productivity and performance requirements.
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates professional and respectful demeanor towards others. Demonstrates respectful verbal and written communication capability.
  • Knowledge and background in cannabis manufacturing preferred.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
