Operations Manager- India for Mohawk Global Logistics Corp to work at our Itasca, IL loc. May telecommute up to 3 days a week. Dev + maint relationships w/ US clients, + Indian suppliers + agt ptrs. Facilitate + attend business revs w/ clients. Make plans + assign tasks to team based on revs. Advise + assess customers’ existing transport framework + make recs to optimize routing + reduce landed cost. Coord cross-funct w/ pricing + sales on new leads + provide support w/ prep + submission of RFQs. Create KPI rpts to measure team perf across various aspects of ops. Audit shipment billing for timeliness + accuracy of invoicing. Lead onboarding process of new clients + work w/ sales to create + maintain SOPs + best practices. Troubleshoot + dsg solutions for challenging customer scenarios. Dev + maint knwl of customers’ business + associated supply chain reqs. Mng customer expectations to accord w/ contracted SLAs + fin objs. Lead exec of tactical functs + resolve oper issues w/ shipping lines, CFS/Ports + outside broker/forwarder. ID + elimin redundancies + inefficiencies in oper proc. Utilize ops + fin tools to monitor tasks, set priorities, measure perf, + monitor accounts receivables for cash clients. Rev doc + dispatch ops of dangerous goods to ensure compliance. Oversee ops of breakbulk + special cargo projs. Monitor mkt trends + reg updates + draft client advisories. Mng India Center of Excellence (COE) ops team. Distrib + delegate workload. Participate in hiring + onboarding. Estab + track dept goals. Provide coaching plans for direct rpts + host perf revs. Provide feedback + train team. Confirm team has resources + support. Ensure profitability of COE. Design + provide rpts for int + ext purposes. Comm w/ GM on shipping lane ops + make recs to improve ops. Work w/ mgmt team to grow COE. Little national and international travel to client and agent partner locations may be involved. May undergo background checks incl MVR and credit check. Must have Bach in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or rel field and 7 yrs rel experience in international transportation and import logistics operations. Also requires the following skills: (5 yrs exp in) working within India-US shipping lane; and (3 yrs exp in) supervising personnel in a freight forwarding environment, P&L management and objective setting, and use of Cargowise platform.
