SMX is seeking a skilled Logistics Clerk in the Honolulu, Hi area to provide logistics support for our C5ISR clients. The ideal candidate will support the day-to-day logistics operations on the C3PO contract, including assisting logistics coordination with our deployed personnel (SMX and subcontractors), record shipping and receiving information and performing hands on inventory control task duties with focus on 100% accountability.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for complete inventory of Government Furnished Property (GFP), to include set-up, as required, for in-person INDOPACOM/SOCPAC assessments
- Manage supply systems, support services and subcontractors and vendors providing services and materials
- Maintain and improve upon SMX’ material marking efforts, including appropriate bar-code maintenance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Required clearance: Secret
- Valid stateside driver’s license
- High School diploma required, AA or BA/BS preferred One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required
- 2 years of aviation logistical management experience or 5 years of similarly complex operations and lesser aviation experience
- Strong communication skills, verbally and in written format, for supporting report development
- Must be able to take initiative and work independently
- Must have the ability to multitask and work effectively, both individually and as a member of a project team, while ensuring timely completion of assignments
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with web-based asset/property management systems
- Experience working with subcontractors in a Department of Defense environment
- Demonstrated Experience/previous responsibilities as Military Logistician/SNCO or Officer within Special Operations or deployed warfighting units where asset accountability including repair, distribution, shipping/receiving and controlled cryptological equipment inventory were of utmost importance is HIGHLY desired
