They are responsible for scheduling production processes and departments, ensuring optimal utilization of materials, employees, and equipment availability. Monitoring production processes, implementing improvements, and reducing costs are key components of this role. This role demands a proactive individual capable of managing complex production schedules while maintaining effective communication and adhering to quality standards.Responsibilities and Activities:
Develops daily or weekly production schedules to meet manufacturing goals and customer delivery deadlines
Facilitates the provision of materials and components necessary for production
Manages product deliveries to customers effectively
Analyzes relevant data to create reports and optimize production schedules
Utilizes collected data to improve scheduling efficiency and effectiveness
Communicates daily attainment data and weekly output reliability to the production team
Maintains frequent communication with various departments to ensure smooth operations
Utilizes various communication channels including email and software platforms
Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Associate's Degree or higher is preferred, or a combination of education and experience
General knowledge of printing, bindery, envelope, and mail services equipment
Prior experience with Direct Mail, print design, and similar equipment is desirable
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is essential
Ability to learn and utilize ERP systems; experience with PrintStream ERP software is advantageous
Competence in using accounting software, logistics planning programs, word processing software, and manufacturing software
Ability to read and interpret various documents including purchase orders, job layouts, safety rules, and procedure manuals
Effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of addressing groups of customers or employees.
High level of attention to detail
Willingness to be accountable for the quality of production output
Full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, potentially including overtime
Flexibility to work occasional shifts beyond regular hours to meet production requirements
