We are particularly interested in candidates located in San Diego, CA, Los Angeles, CA, or Phoenix AZ.JOB SUMMARYThe America's Supply Chain Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the flow of goods within the Americas region, with a particular focus on ensuring seamless import and export operations in compliance with U.S. customs regulations. This role will also involve strategic vendor management to build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.Responsibilities and Activities
- Plans and executes vendor orders, ensuring timely delivery and optimal resource allocation.
- Collaborates with vendors to develop annual pricing strategies and secure capacity.
- Negotiates favorable terms, manage vendor agreements, and foster long-term partnerships.
- Monitors vendor performance, address operational issues, and identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Identifies and evaluates new suppliers to enhance supply chain efficiency and resilience.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations and ensure all operations adhere to compliance standards.
- Oversees the preparation and submission of accurate customs documentation for all shipments.
- Implements strategies to minimize delays and disruptions related to customs clearance.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of trade regulations and implements necessary adjustments to processes.
- Designs and implements supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Utilizes data-driven insights to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and optimize production schedules.
- Identifies and resolves supply chain bottlenecks and disruptions.
- Works closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, sales, and finance, to ensure alignment and achieve business objectives.
- Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business or combination of education and equivalent experience.
Work Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on U.S. customs regulations and vendor management.
- 1-3 years experience in complex logistics management preferably with a focus on the America's.
- Experience in analyzing data to drive operational improvements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, U.S. import/export procedures, and vendor management best practices.
- Excellent communicator, capable of working in multinational environments, driven and motivated by accomplishing extraordinary objectives.
- Ability to travel between the U.S. and Mexico 15%-20% if the time.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Ability to toggle between strategic and detail orientated thinking.
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and rapidly changing environments.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Strong collaboration and excellent team skills to be successful in cross-functional and multi-cultural team leadership.
