JOB DESCRIPTION


The Asset Management Finance team is a critical part of Antares and has oversight on all aspects of Fund financials and investor reporting with specific focus on Business Development Companies (BDCs).  The Asset Management Associate/Fund Accountant will provide support for new and existing vehicles (including BDCs) and fund initiatives including financial reporting, managing and tracking daily cash and investment activity, subledger and portfolio reconciliations, working with third party administrators, responding to investor inquiries, etc.

An ability to manage multiple tasks while working under strict time deadlines is essential. Our ideal candidate is independent, motivated, detail‐oriented and able to analyze data and convey conclusions effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Prepare and coordinate the production calendar to meet various deadlines (Antares, Fund Administrator, SEC and investors reporting)
  • Assist your fund accounting team to meet client deadlines and run an efficiently/effectively financial reporting process.
  • Using WSO as our shadow records, assist the Fund Administrator to accurately produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements including Form 10-Qs/10-K.
  • Prepare and/or tie out of all investor reporting as necessary (i.e. capital account statements, capital calls and distributions notices and performance reporting).
  • Assist and reconcile the cash and position reconciliation between third party administrator and WSO.
  • Prepare accounting records and prices/valuation marks, communicating same to Fund Administrator, and assisting in their resolution.
  • Prepare of audit schedules, compliance reports, tax returns, financial statements, or other reports.
  • Prepare periodic reports to finance management on BDCs activities and other related accounting issues.
  • Prepare quarterly financial statements (including 10-Q/10-K) with a goal to meet the 45 days deadline after quarter-end including appropriate SEC reporting requirements.
  • Prepare monthly financial models and inputs.
  • Assist with tax and review of the quarterly and annual RIC tests.
  • Tie-out of quarterly/annual financial statements and assist in implementation of new accounting requirements with auditors and Fund administrator.
  • Interact with auditors in all quarterly review and audit coordination and completion as well as for the internal controls assessments.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience with fund accounting / financial reporting for private funds, and BDCs
  • 2-4 years of experience in accounting function in fund accounting and/or auditor roles
  • Experience with BDCs and SOX 404 compliance, preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel skills
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. CPA preferred
  • Be self-motivated, proactive, well organized, and resourceful
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
  • Positive “can-do” approach to responsibilities and work collaboratively with others

New York City Only: salary ranges are specific to market location; the salary range for this position is USD $100,000 to $130,000 and eligible for annual bonus.
