Senior Technical Product Manager

What you will be doing:


Senior Technical Product Managers lead the development of software products from conception to release. They work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to identify new opportunities and then ultimately plan and lead the development of those new software features and products. Key responsibilities include:


  • Development and management of one or more software development roadmaps

  • Oversee or directly manage projects related to multiple software product products

  • Oversee or directly manage other Technical Product Managers

  • Manage development of new software product features from conception to release, including as necessary requirements elaboration, product design, testing, and documentation

  • Work closely with engineering, clinical product, and customer-facing teams to ensure quality of released products

  • Support customer-facing and sales teams

  • Support continual process development and improvement

Key Responsibilities


Responsibility #1– 50%Software Product Design and Management of Product Development, Testing, and Release


  • Coordinate with product managers, customers, and other stakeholders to define functional requirements for software product features

  • Work with engineers to specify technical details / requirements for product features, including overall software architecture

  • Identify both supporting and conflicting work efforts to improve efficiency

  • Plan and ensure timely performance of design review and development in close coordination with engineering leads

  • Work with applicable team members (such as technical product managers, engineers, and customer-facing teams) to define, plan, and complete user acceptance testing

  • Support the development and publication of documentation for new software features and products

Responsibility #2 – 30%Software Development Roadmap


  • Work with product managers and other stakeholders to define and quantify the value of new product and features for a given software product

  • Coordinate with engineers and other team members to conduct risk, feasibility, and effort estimates for new software products and features

  • Improve efficiency of roadmap planning through logical groupings of features and architecture

  • Communicate roadmaps to all stakeholders, including when applicable changes to those roadmaps

Responsibility #3 – 10%Sales Support


  • Identify new revenue sources and work with Sales to exploit those sources.

  • In combination with Sales:

  • Attend sales presentations and demos when necessary.

  • Seek new product opportunity and market intelligence.

Responsibility #4 – 10%Product Communications


  • Accountable that proper internal and external product communications exist to all customers and corporate stakeholders.

Work Experience:Years of Applicable Experience - 7 or more yearsEducation:Bachelors (Required)

Preferred Qualifications


Skills:


  • Experience managing the complete software development lifecycle for multiple projects simultaneously

  • History of successful collaboration with product management and engineering teams

  • Demonstrated success on designing and managing the development and release of software systems

Experience:


  • Experience in a clinical environment

  • Software engineering experience

  • Clinical License/certification

Education:


  • Master’s degree

Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees.

Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $99,000 - $185,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location.
