The senior network architect or network engineer who has training and experience with both ISP Access and Backbone technologies and software support systems. You have played an integral role in the design, planning, and implementation of Layer 2 and Layer 3 ISP networks and the related OSS and monitoring systems. Additionally, you have extensive experience both supporting internal teams and external customers. Dealing with network outage and resolution is something that you view as a challenge and opportunity to permanently improve the network. You are driven to learn, are passionate about network, and are excited about engaging with many technologies you aren’t familiar with (VoIP, DNS, Firewalls, monitoring, alarming) and working on projects / growing your skill outside of your current area of expertise. Mentoring and training junior and entry level network team members is something you both value and enjoy.
Responsibilities
Immediately contribute and participate in Wyyerd’s existing network deployments.
Provide significant input regarding network integration, expansion, and stabilization.
Contribute and create network process and procedure.
Become part of an amazing team, learn from and eventually teach coworkers, and discover and build up best practices to enhance your expertise.
Experience/Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies and solutions.
Extensive knowledge of network OSS support software systems including NMS, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, TR-069/369, Netflow, Radius
Experience with software development and support including Rocky Linux, Cloud (AWS), Python Scripting and Automation
Basic and broad knowledge of ISP Access and Backbone technologies and solutions.
Experience and understanding network monitoring, alarming, data collection, and archiving.
Basic knowledge of SIP VoIP.
Experience with Network Operations Centers (NOC) process, procedures, and best practices.
Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn and engage fully regarding core network responsibilities, Wyyerd’s business, methods and culture.
