Join the power movement as an Operations Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Operations Specialist to support our Milpitas, CA location. Reporting directly to and working closely with the Operations Manager, the Operations Specialist will ensure smooth daily operations, foster an efficient and collaborative environment, and act as a critical resource for a highly cross-functional team, including specialists, engineers, scientists, and executives. This role involves flexible responsibilities to maintain a productive, organized workspace and enhance team performance and work culture.
What you'll do:
- Provide flexible operational and administrative support as needed, ensuring efficient, organized workspaces and actively contributing to the office culture by identifying and implementing improvements.
- Own the credit card purchasing process for general and facility items, collaborating with the onsite buyer and submitting monthly expense reports for accounting.
- Oversee office operations, ensuring the workplace runs smoothly, efficiently, and remains well-stocked to support the team’s needs.
- Maintain office and general supplies (e.g., snacks, consumables) and oversee office vendor management, including team badges, plant care, Bevi Systems, and more.
- Plan and host team events, such as Friday bagels, new hire mingles, employee birthdays, and off-site gatherings to support a connected, engaged team environment.
- Provide scheduling and administrative support to the EA & Executive team as needed, including coordinating VIP visits and assisting with interview scheduling for the Talent Acquisition team.
- Handle non-facility-related landlord communications, such as building tours and gym access.
- Lead and manage specific 5S initiatives, maintaining site inventory and processes.
- Ensure office and site standards are met by applying lean manufacturing practices (5S, Kaizen, red tagging).
- Day-to-Day Operations may include but are not limited to overseeing site and office management, managing purchasing and vendor relationships, supporting cross-functional teams, and maintaining organizational resources.
What we’re looking for:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 4+ years of business operations experience, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- High emotional intelligence and empathy, with strong communication skills (oral and written) and a collaborative mindset
- Strong administrative and operational mindset, with the ability to manage resources and proactively identify and eliminate inefficiencies
- Proficiency with Slack, Zoom, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Confluence, Jira, and Odoo
- Familiarity with lean methodologies, including 5S, Kaizen, and red tagging, with experience leading related initiatives
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills; a self-starter with a solutions-focused, resourceful approach
- Excellent planning and time-management skills
Bonus points for:

- Familiarity with lean methodologies, including 5S, Kaizen, and red tagging, with experience leading related initiatives
Must-have requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Perform activities such as typing, standing, stooping, and sitting, for extended periods of time
- Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, and cryogenics
- Willingness to occasionally travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call
$40 - $48 an hourSalary range for this full-time position + equity + benefits. The actual salary will depend on level, location, qualifications, and experience.
