The Real Deal is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to join our digital team. You will join a team building innovative content and big data applications in the real estate space. You will be responsible for exploratory and automated testing to ensure product quality. You should be comfortable working directly with editorial and research teams, have experience working in a scrum Agile environment and be comfortable being part of the full software lifecycle from requirements gathering to software development, testing and release.
Job Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts)Create quality measurements to track improvement in productsExecute quality improvement testing and activitiesDevelop quality assurance standards and company processesEnsure products meet customer expectations and demandCreate reports documenting errors and issues for fixingWork closely with the development team to improve existing productsMaintain standards for reliability and performance of production
Qualifications:
Proven work experience in a full software development life cycleAt least 2 years experience in software quality assuranceSolid knowledge of SQL and scripting and ability to validate data directly in a databaseKnowledge of and experience in automated testing toolsStrong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processesExperience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test casesExperience working in an Agile/Scrum development processExperience with performance and/or security testing is a plus$75,000 - $100,000 a year
