Job Description - Senior QA Engineer

As we get ready to make these new products available to all our customers we are looking to hire a Senior QA Engineer to lead the testing and QA effort on our team.

* (Responsibilities)
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products amidst a fast-paced, dynamic start-up like environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teammates to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and implement robust testing strategies that align with our development goals.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and usability of our products.
- Conduct thorough regression testing to detect and prevent regressions across multiple software releases and iterations.
- Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and other business stakeholders to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and mitigate ambiguities in feature scope.
- Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using Jira & Coda, and work closely with engineering teams to swiftly resolve issues and deploy fixes.
- Participate in design reviews and sprint planning meetings to provide input on testability, scalability, and performance considerations. We follow a 15 day sprint cadence and aim to ship new features every 15 days!
- Help build a culture of good testing practices and improved final product quality.

(Requirements)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on regression testing and test automation.
- Proven track record of working in fast-paced, agile environments where requirements evolve rapidly, and ambiguity is inherent.
- Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
- Extensive experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and GitHub.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated team player with a passion for quality, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional user experiences.
