The Finance Team
The Finance team is focused on enabling Chainlink Labs to operate as a financially healthy and responsible business, building for speed and scale while avoiding unnecessary friction. We manage our capital resources carefully, surveying the road ahead to anticipate and prepare for any turn, and ensure the right resources are allocated for maximum returns. We analyze the business and report on key performance indicators, partner closely with other teams across the company, and ensure that we drive the right business outcomes, proper compliance, and accountability.In this position as the Tax Manager, you will work directly with the Head of Tax and be responsible for supporting the development, build, growth and expansion of our product offerings and new initiatives/transactions globally. The successful candidate needs to have a proven record of supporting new products and initiatives go-to-market in a fast-paced environment in blockchain and crypto industries.This role is a great opportunity to apply your extensive international tax knowledge and practical industry experience to deal with novel and cutting edge tax cases in the blockchain space.
Your Impact
You will work closely with corporate tax compliance, accounting, Treasury, Strategic Finance, as well as a broad sector of cross-functional business teams including legal, GTM, Engineer, Products, Bus Ops, etc.
Ability to distill complex tax issues down to concise and easy to understand format and effectively communicate to cross functional key stakeholders and leadership who are not tax experts
The individual must be a self-starter, fast learner and capable of working with limited direction while taking full ownership of the assigned tasks and responsibility
The candidate will be expected to anticipate and surface issues, solve problems, recommend practical solutions, provide operational guidance, and exercise good business judgment while performing these functions
Proactive mindset in anticipating changes in tax risks / consequences due rapid changes in company business structure
Ability to perform extensive tax research and form opinions on complex international tax matters; prepare tax memos and supporting process documentation
Manage key stakeholders in the tax planning, execution, and implementation process
Support the documentation of the transfer pricing policies, the respective inter-company transactions
Effective time management and prioritization skills in managing multiple projects are essential to the success of this role

Requirements
At least 8 years of international tax advisory experience with top tier accounting/consulting firm or Blockchain/crypto company
Strong US and international tax technical and blockchain industry knowledge.
Knowledge on global transfer pricing
Proven record of supporting new products and initiatives go-to-market in a fast-paced environment in Blockchain/Crypto industries and thinking outside the box on novel tax cases
Willing to grow in a startup environment, open-mindedness, adaptability, and hard working
Have strong communication skills to effectively facilitate information flow among various cross-functional teams.
Strong project management skills and strong organizational skills to manage deadlines and multiple projects and responsibilities timely and effectively
Preferred Requirements
Masters in Taxation, LLM, CPA
Experience with indirect tax and informational reporting
