We’re seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in West Palm Beach, FL. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong DevOps background, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. As our DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a key role in managing and enhancing our infrastructure, working closely with the backend team to ensure scalable and reliable systems for our applications.Note: this is a hybrid role and is required to be in the office 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform, enabling repeatable, secure, and scalable provisioning of cloud resources.
- Build and maintain Docker containerization for microservices, optimizing application deployment and enhancing CI/CD processes.
- Write and manage automation scripts in Python and other scripting languages to streamline deployment, monitoring, and operational processes.
- Configure and manage cloud infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring efficient use of cloud resources and cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with the backend engineering team to integrate infrastructure requirements into application development.
- Handle multi-tasking between projects and actively engage in improving systems architecture to meet the growing needs of our startup.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues promptly, maintaining high system uptime and reliability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform (3+ years of experience).
- Strong experience with Docker (3+ years), including deployment, orchestration, and container management.
- Advanced scripting skills, preferably in Python and other scripting languages for automation.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, deployment, and maintenance.
- Proven ability to multi-task, work independently, and prioritize in a dynamic startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and load balancing in cloud environments.
Reporting:
This role reports to the backend engineering team and requires frequent collaboration with development and product teams.
