Plant level knowledge is vital to satisfying the food production needs from projected a forty percent increase in world population over the next thirty years. We support that goal by continuously and automatically assessing the health and performance of the world’s +$1T specialty crops, one plant at a time, with deep learning and imaging. Currently, Bloomfield is focused on wine, table, and juice grapes as well as, more recently, blueberries. Our portable Flash cameras and supporting platform capture, geo-locate and share the condition of each vine, tree and bush, along with the various features of that plant.
This information, in turn, informs a variety of decisions and actions that growers take every day to increase the size, quality and consistency of yields and doing so without increasing the resources used to produce those yields. About the RoleWe are seeking a highly-motivated teammate to lead the customer-facing part of our business. The Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for maintaining an exceptional quality of service for our customers by coordinating efforts with our Field Ops, Product, Business Development, Hardware and Software teams.
You will be our ultimate advocate for the customer inside of our business, and you will have a direct impact on the time and direction of how your teammates focus their time. You are responsible for anticipating the needs of our customers and translating those to the rest of the business. This role is intended to be a stepping stone toward an operational leadership role on the executive team.Responsibilities
- Own the service delivery process for our entire customer base
- Maintain direct relationships with our customers and translate their needs to the business
- Work directly with our Field Ops, Product, Business Development, Hardware, and Software teams to manage customer requests and issues
- Lead cross-team operations, and be well versed in team-level activity and goals across the business
- Oversee strategy of geography and customer expansion
- Work directly with our partners and resellers to assure consistent service delivery
- Lend perspective on our product roadmap and corporate strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, AgBusiness, or Business-related field
- 2-3 years of experience in startups or highly agile organizations
- Past roles similar to Customer Success and/or Operations are highly desirable
- Motivation to quickly move into leadership role at the company
- Experience in production agriculture or AgTech preferred
- Well-versed in tech-enable service businesses; generally conversant in software development processes
- Willingness to travel to customer locations (appx 20%)
