Sales Director, North America - East:


The Sales Director is the face and the voice of the organization for his/her assigned geography, both internally and externally. They are in charge of driving execution of the corporate strategy through the business areas by championing core objectives and making sure that sales targets are met.Additionally, the incumbent addresses customer needs and expectations and develops close relationships with external stakeholders, such as physicians and hospital leaders.The Sales Director is responsible for Territory Manager recruitment, training, retention and career development.

Identifying sales skill development and terminating employees who don't develop the necessary skills for sales success.The incumbent will manage key accounts and also devise appropriate product plans and sales strategies to drive results within accounts.The Sales Director must raise awareness to emerging customer trends and filter information up to the organization leaders.

Essential Functions:


Fully comply with the compliance/ethic/code of conducts requirements of Corcym; ensure people are conducting business in a fair and ethical fashion. Individuals in this role interpret and enforce company policy, procedures, and business practices. The Sales Director needs to be able to manage budgets, understands the financial and operational levers and variables that affect margins, controls expenses, and ensures a sound bottom line in their areas.Responsible for overall business, include but not limited to:

  • Continuously drive sales and achieve the agreed upon sales targets in the targeted accounts or by following the account conversion/planning strategy.
  • Work with Territory Managers and Sales Agents to provide the new product launch support/promotion, etc.
  • Lead sales and contracting to participate/prepare GPO agreements and individual facility pricing agreements.
  • Prepare market analysis and help line managers to make the right business strategy
  • Distributors Management and Development included but not limited to: continuously engage the Territory Managers and drive the positive business results thru regularly scheduled field visits and customer interaction/visits, monitor sales results of the Independent Sales Agents and support their efforts in targeted accounts.
  • Work as a key liaison person to help locals sales to maintain and continuously develop the relationship among Corcym/hospitals/distributors, etc.
  • Continuously develop the local Territory Managers management process, including sales report, top account market share, target letters, SMI, quarterly performance reviews, quarterly order booking, etc.
  • Demonstrate personal leadership: being the face of the company for the assigned geography, being a visible and well-aligned presence for the organizational objectives
  • Strike a balance between company and local needs in a way that is aligned with the organizations ultimate success
  • Deliver meaningful messages to their respective work units
  • Share compelling vision and priorities for business groups
  • Listening to other perspectives and concerns to establish productive dialogue and open communication

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:


  • Medical Device industry experience. experience in the OR preferred
  • Strong customer focus
  • Proven strategic selling and marketing skills to achieve growth and sales targets
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills combined with excellent leadership
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Proven influencing skills with the ability to build trust

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related fields
  • Medical or related degree is preferred
