An exciting opportunity is available for a Full-Time Staff Pharmacist in Ontario

Job Description


We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will collaborate with our Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacists, and pharmacy team to deliver exceptional pharmacy services, including preparing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions in compliance with federal and provincial regulations. This role also involves actively participating in our patient-centred care model, ensuring excellence in clinical services, customer satisfaction, and daily pharmacy operations.

Shifts will be scheduled in advance by the Pharmacy Manager.

On-site, 5 days a week, 8-hour daytime shifts


Responsibilities



  • Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure consistent compliance.

  • Accurately, efficiently, and safely fill prescriptions using the established workflow model.

  • Flexibility to work scheduled shifts on short notice is considered an asset.

  • Collaborate with Pharmacy Technicians to process physicians' orders and clearly communicate processing requirements as needed.

  • Deliver exceptional patient counselling for new therapies, ensuring engagement and understanding.

  • Provide ongoing medical consultations to patients regarding their prescriptions, including monitoring medication adherence.

  • Maintain and update patient profiles, medical records, and prescription histories accurately.

  • Assist Staff Pharmacists and the Pharmacy Manager with various tasks as required.

  • Ensure full compliance with all regulations set by the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA) and the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).

Requirements



  • Must hold Part A licensing from the Ontario College of Pharmacists and be a member in good standing with the provincial College of Pharmacists.

  • A minimum of 3 years of pharmacy experience.

  • Advanced proficiency in Kroll and IT systems.

  • Strong attention to detail in medication preparation, labelling, inventory management, documentation, and quality control.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Commitment to health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe workplace for all team members.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
