Job Description
We are looking to hire a Lead QA Engineer for our CRM team in either Montreal, QC or Ottawa, ON areas. We are also open to hiring candidates looking to relocate to either of those two regions.Responsibilities:
- Provide functional test analysis, planning, design, execution and reporting for testing assignments.
- Automate test cases and run them in CI
- Develop approaches for various types of testing (integration, performance testing, etc.).
- Highlight Risk and issues to senior management
- Work closely with the business analysts and developers in preparation and execution of the planned testing activities.
- Participate in peer reviews of Test artefacts
- Track the schedule and testing progress and be accountable for the tasks and releases.
- Develop and maintain testing documentation with test case descriptions, expected results, and test requirements traceability.
- Conduct exploratory and acceptance testing of new features
- Bugs analysis with the purpose of increasing test coverage in critical areas
- Search for ways to constantly improve our test project, tools and product quality
After an initial period of 6 months, the role is expected to take on additional managerial responsibilities, such as manage, mentor, and grow a team of QA testers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement:
- Lead Test initiative and train the team as necessary
- Manage workload, delegate tasks, and provide estimates for feature and task completion timelines.
- Distribute tasks effectively within the QA team, fostering a collaborative approach with clear communication and expectations.
- Onboard new hires, provide constructive feedback, and offer guidance to team members for continuous learning and development
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with automation testing of web application documentation (C#/Java).
- Strong experience with OOP
- Experience with testing APIs
- Solid understanding of QA processes, best practices, testing techniques, and methodologies
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Business English is required for this role
- Experience leading QA team
- Experience with ERP, CRM systems, or EDI related application, Integrations etc. is a plus.
- Experience with automation testing using Selenium on .NET Framework using C# is a plus.
- Experience with CI system is a plus.
