As a Logistics Training and Documentation Specialist at ARETUM, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective logistics processes by developing and delivering training materials and maintaining documentation.ARETUM is known for providing cutting-edge solutions and outstanding service to Federal clients in various sectors, including Next Generation Analytics, Engineering Services, Training Services, IT Systems, Cyber Security, PMO Support, and Financial Consulting.

Responsibilities
- Logistics system training development and delivery. Apply subject-matter expertise in the delivery of contemporary instructional methods and techniques. Methods required include onsite classroom sessions, computer based live virtual training, and on-the-job training at Coast Guard units. Use of existing training material shall be used to the extent practicable. Provide user level training support for the following system applications:
- Fleet Logistics System (FLS)
- Fleet Logistics System - Mobile Asset Manager (FLS-MAM)
- Fleet Logistics System – Inventory (FLS-Inv)
- Naval and Electronics Supply Support System (NESSS)
- Maintain, revise, and update training materials and curriculum. (e.g., student handouts/course books, simulation exercises, lesson plans, instructor guides, tests, presentation slides, learning objectives, curriculum outlines, training aids, etc.
- On-call SME assistance for the identified VLS applications. Including assistance with program troubleshooting of specific problems and assistance to units in submitting CGFixIT tickets to report program errors.
- Develop and maintain on-line Help Guides for the mentioned VLS applications.
- Develop user-oriented tutorials/videos which can be used as standalone tools or embedded in other authoring tools (i.e. Robohelp) and maintain on-line Help Guides for the mentioned VLS applications.
- Assess students’ knowledge during training and through feedback received in the use of student training critiques.
- Development of training materials for the Team as required/needed:
- User Guides
- Lesson Plans
- Training Outlines
- Training PowerPoints
- Coordinate with Coast Guard technical staff on all matters related to course maintenance to ensure continuity of material, consistency of layout, flow of subject matter, and technical accuracy.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the identified FLS system applications. This includes coordination of feedback and results to the system developers and use of the TRAIN application environment to confirm expected results.
Requirements
- Practical knowledge of the Vessel Logistics System (VLS) suite of applications.
- Fleet Logistics System (FLS)
- Fleet Logistics System - Mobile Asset Manager (FLS-MAM)
- Fleet Logistics System – Inventory (FLS-Inv)
- Naval and Electronics Supply Support System (NESSS)
- Background in training adult learners in use of various software systems
- Proficient in the development and maintenance of on-line Help Guides for the mentioned VLS applications.
- Proficient in the use of authoring tools for the development of user-oriented tutorials/videos which can be used as standalone tools or embedded in other authoring tools (i.e. Robohelp).
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft suite of applications.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Possess the ability to clearly speak, read and write in American English using proper grammar and punctuation.
- The ability to work equally independently and in a team environment.
- The ability to clear a Tier One (Public Trust) background investigation.
- An active USCG or DHS security clearance is desired.
- Prior Coast Guard logistics management experience is highly desired.
