We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Zinnia Health, a substance abuse treatment facility committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals in recovery. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of the facility, ensuring that all equipment, systems, and buildings are in optimal condition. This role is critical to supporting the well-being of our clients and staff.
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Maintains and oversees building and grounds maintenance.
- Inspect structure of buildings and determine if repairs are needed.
- Schedules repairs, renovation projects and safety inspections.
- Manages the facility work order system on site-manager.
- Quality control, cleaning, upkeep and safety standards are maintained.
- Plans and schedules facility modifications, including cost estimates.
- Inspects construction and installation progress.
- Initiates planned maintenance programs.
- Ability to trouble shoot and provide solution.
- Manages preventive maintenance of facility equipment, buildings, and premises.
- Oversees the cleaning and maintenance of facility.
- Perform environmental hazard management/planning and remediations.
- Keeps buildings safe by making sure they meet building code requirements.
- Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
- Promotes a positive team attitude with employees and transitional living guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical certifications preferred).
- Proven experience in general building maintenance or related trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
- Knowledge of safety standards and maintenance best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment and systems independently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients, staff, and management in a respectful and professional manner.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare or residential setting is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with facility maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
- Must pass mandatory pre-employment screenings, including background checks and health screenings.
