PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead or design, conduct and report proteomics studies, including assay designs, LC-MS/MS or LC-HRMS based bioanalytical method development, sample generation and sample analysis, data analysis, interpretation and reporting.2. Develop new proteomics assays and in charge of method development and optimization as needed to address specific project or study issues, or new service capability.3. Serves as a study director on discovery, preclinical and clinical programs and initiatives; Responsible for QC monitoring of sample processing and mass spectrum analysis and data processing independently.4.
Manage and supervise proteomics group; and collaborate with Bioinformatics and other functional groups,5. Communicate effectively with clients for study update, project management and technical support.6. Keeps up to date with emerging new mass spectrometric technologies, protein assays and regulatory technical guidelines.7. Possess good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, proteomics or related field with 3 - 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical and/or biotechnological companies, or contract research organizations.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Hands-on experience in designing, conducting, analyzing and reporting proteomics studies, including study designs, bioanalytical method development, sample generation and analysis, data analysis and reporting to support drug discovery and preclinical projects.2. Have rich experience in operating proteomic experimental instruments such as High-resolution mass spectrometry and HPLC, and strong learning ability3. Working experience in quantitative LC-MS/MS method development and sample analysis with High resolution mass spectrometry (QE-HFX/timsTOF Pro, etc) and other vendors’ mass spectrometry systems (Thermo high resolution mass spectrometry OE240 or OE480); experience with high throughput autosamplers and programming automated liquid handlers.4.
Strong programming skills in R or Python for data analysis and visualization; bioinformatics analysis and database construction and maintenance skills are highly desired.5. Proficient in Proteomics data analysis software (e.g. Proteome Discover, Skyline, Spectronaut, etc.)6. Familiarity with biomarker discovery and validation processes and knowledge of good laboratory practices (GLP) and regulatory requirements are also desired.
