Lab Manager

You will join the Lab team of Crown Bioscience in Leiden, where you will oversee the operations of the laboratories and logistics, mentor and train lab staff, and implement safety guidelines and lab procedures to ensure that laboratories operate smoothly.

Responsibilities


  • Supervision and management of the laboratory, laboratory activities, and logistics
  • Managing laboratory documentation, writing, reviewing, and maintenance of manufacturing batch records and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Coordinating and supervising internal and external lab audits
  • Managing GMO and biosafety registrations (buGGO and NVWA)
  • Management and procurement of reagents, chemicals, and equipment
  • Meeting and setting up deals with suppliers and manufacturers
  • Supervising EU logistic hub and managing import and export licenses for animal by-products
  • Assuring optimum cost efficiency of procurement and keeping to the budget
  • Checking employees' experimental records and ensuring staff compliance
  • Training new personnel and maintaining training records for each employee
  • Supervision of tasks and coaching of technicians
  • Implementing good documentation practices

Profile


  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology or similar
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a team leader in a similar role
  • Minimum 4 years experience in lab work, with cell culture is a plus
  • Proven experience in project and people management
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, GXP, or affinity with any other quality norm
  • Knowledge of Oracle or Veeva is a plus
  • Native Dutch speaker and fluent in English
  • Detail-oriented, analytical mindset and flexible
  • Legally allowed to work and live in the Netherlands
