- Design circuit schematics and complete or facilitate PCB layout
- Perform board bring-up and integration testing in collaboration with mechanical and firmware/software
- Write test procedures and assist in formal verification of design function.
- Manage bills of materials and redesign for parts obsolescence or constrained supply chain.
- Apply design principles to prevent electromagnetic interference and assist with certification to EMC standards.
- Work closely and communicate regularly with clients to keep stakeholders apprised of project status, issues, design decisions, and risks
- This position requires you to work on site at Simplexity’s client office in Bellevue for at least 3 days per week and more when significant integration activities are taking place
- Full-time anticipated through the end of 2024 and possibly beyond, depending on performance and business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineeringor similar technical degree from an accredited four-year university.
- 4+ years of relevant, professional engineering experience.
- Experience with MCU / embedded design
- Knowledge of low power design
- Excellent organization and analytical skills combined with attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and plan effectively.
- Have a positive attitude and focus on client success.
- Ethical and honest in every part of the job.
PLUSES TO HAVE
- RF experience preferred
- Strong experience with Altium toolset
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSTwo type of contractor roles will be considered:1. 1099 contractors (have your own registered consulting/contracting business)
- Hourly rate $100 - $130/hr, depending on experience
- No benefits, holidays, or paid time off (PTO) included
2. W-2 contractor (employee of Simplexity)
- Hourly rate $75 - $95/hr, depending on experience
- Excellent Healthcare plan (Medical, Dental, and Vision) fully paid for by the company for the employee; partial payment for dependents
