The Jr Pricer reports to the Director of Project Control and Pricing. They are responsible for leading the pricing activities and supporting project control activities in a backup capacity; including but limited to responding to Government Requests for Proposals and/or Quotations, Excel pricing templates, Word pricing narratives and preparing and analyzing program financials and financial deliverables. They are the primary business partner for Proposal Managers and the Business Development team and are expected to provide visibility to the Director of Project Control and Pricing and the Chief Financial Officer related to program results and activities.
How Role will make an impact:
- Complete formal and on-the-job training related to best practices for finance and pricing
- Prepare pricing non-cost narratives and populate Excel pricing templates
- Participate in and lead Green Team reviews and competitive pricing analysis
- Adhere to proposal schedules for cost and pricing related activities; including, but not limited to subcontractor pricing data calls and Green Team reviews
- Participate in lessons learned and analysis of Government debrief documents as it relates to cost and price and for non-cost evaluation criteria that have a direct correlation to price
- Prepare and perform labor category mappings to direct labor sources including, but not limited to actual employees, representative employees, and salary survey data.
- Gather competitive pricing data and historical modification information for competitive pricing analysis and Price to Win data for Green Team and strategic pricing meetings
- Provide backup support for Project Control Activities in addition to proposal activities when bandwidth allows and/or when requested by the Director of Project Control and Pricing; activities include, but are not limited to:
- The preparation of cost estimates and Government financial deliverables
- Program Manager financial reports and associated analysis
- Preparation of cost estimates.
- Review, approval and recording of subcontractor monthly invoices
- Analysis of financial reports and data sets for compliance with federal regulations
- Collection and entering of financial data into contract workbooks and subcontractor financial trackers with accuracy, timeliness, and specificity.
- Performing data management, including creating and managing queries
- Monitoring and track funding and expenditures and assisting in the Limitations of Funds process
- Perform and report on financial forecasting
- Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of this role.

What You Will Need to Join Our Award-Winning Team:
- BS or BA degree in accounting, finance or other business related major
- 1+ years of progressive experience in a pricing role or 3+ years in a project control or finance role in lieu working with government contracts.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience with financial analysis, and tracking
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint
- Quick learner, well organized, and able to multitask on concurrent assignments
- Meticulous attention to detail, effective communication, and presentation skills (written and verbal)
- Self-starter with the ability to work remotely, independently, and collaboratively as a team
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, and an aptitude for problem solving
- Travel demands may include local and long-distance travel to and from the client site as required by the client.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
- May be required to lift 15 pounds at times.
