Full-timeDescriptionThe Portfolio Strategist plays a pivotal role in guiding the firm through the dynamic landscape of financial markets. This strategic thinker leads the development of investment strategies, navigating market trends, and steering the firm's portfolio decisions. With a focus on client engagement and relationship management, the Portfolio Strategist crafts compelling presentations and works closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure the firm's offerings are at the forefront of the industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Directs strategic portfolio alignment, deciding on asset allocations that determine the course of portfolio strategies.
- Influences the firm's strategic approach in response to market trends and prepares for potential market shifts.
- Spearheads client presentations, develops communication approaches, and leads the management of client-engagement platforms.
- Dedicates efforts to cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborates with external organizations.
- Serves as the firm's leading authority, guiding sales strategies and providing mentorship to less experienced team members.
- Makes key contributions to the development of investment strategies and manages the firm’s research projects.
Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is required. An MBA or CFA designation preferred.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 8 years in fixed income asset management.
- Technical Proficiency: Exceptional analytical abilities to evaluate investment opportunities and market conditions are critical. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and investment analysis software and tools is required.
- Client Interaction Experience: Must have extensive experience in client interactions and relationship management.
- Knowledge & Skills: Possess deep knowledge of the asset management business. Exhibit strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data.
- Additional Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of driving strategic initiatives. Proficiency with financial modeling and analysis tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to influence at all organizational levels. Ability to manage high-stress situations and make decisions under pressure.
