This position plays a crucial role in providing financial analysis, market insights, and strategic support to advance Anaergia’s mission of delivering renewable energy and sustainable resource recovery solutions. Reporting to the VP Finance, this role offers a unique opportunity to work within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging with senior leaders.Key Responsibilities Include
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses to support investment decisions, project evaluations, and business performance assessments.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Maintain the corporate model and support the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Investment Evaluation: Participate in assessing internal and external investment opportunities, including conducting due diligence, building financial models, assessing risk factors, and preparing investment recommendation presentations.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze key financial and operational performance indicators. Generate regular reports to track progress and identify trends.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic initiatives by providing financial insights and scenario analyses.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements within the renewable energy and RNG sectors to provide actionable insights.
- Communication: Effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders to support informed decision-making, including general presentation preparation.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial and operational processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve reporting efficiency to support organizational growth.
Knowledge and Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, financial analysis, or related roles.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and Microsoft Excel.
- Communication: Proven ability to prepare presentations for senior management and boards of directors.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with renewable energy, RNG, or related industries is a plus.
- Attributes: Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple tasks with a detail-oriented approach.
- Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the United States.
