So, what’s the role all about?
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality of our applications. Your work will involve collaborating closely with development teams to ensure that both functional and non-functional requirements are met and will require continuous enhancement of our testing frameworks
How will you make an impact?
- Design and implement automated test scripts for web, backend and API applications.
- Develop and maintain reusable and scalable test automation frameworks.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and contribute to test planning.
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and integration testing using automation tools.
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects or potential improvements.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues with test scripts and identify root causes.
- Ensure automated tests cover both positive and negative scenarios and all critical paths.
- Report test results, track issues, and provide feedback to development teams.
- Collaborate with developers to fix bugs and improve software quality.
- Continuously improve testing processes and introduce new tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Maintain test environments and data to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
- Execute manual tests according to delivery demands
Have you got what it takes?
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in test automation.
- Must have experience in test any automation tools like Playwright or Selenium with API testing.
- Must have experience with at least one scripting / programming language, such as Java, Typescript or JavaScript.
- Experience with database testing and database tools like MySQL.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Experience in functional testing, test case creation and test strategies.
- Experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, Cucumber, etc.
- Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or RestAssured.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong debugging skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues in automation scripts.
- Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
- Experience with test Reporting Tools like JIRA
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
