Director of Advisory Solutions for our wealth management department. Heading into 2025, our Advisors are among the industry's best and average over $491,000 in GDC ranking us 6th highest average production per Advisor amongst all broker-dealers and IFG remains the third largest privately held broker-dealer in the industry.The Director of Advisory Solutions is a senior level position responsible for managing the day-to-day responsibilities of IFG’s Advisory business and all associated team members.
The Director of Advisory Solutions will have overall responsibility for leading and overseeing each department (Advisory Sales, Advisory Training), product, program, and key relationships for IFG under the Advisory umbrella. The primary objectives of the role are to drive attainment of key performance targets (Advisory gross and net sales,revenue, new client additions, Product development enhancements, revenue sharing contracts etc.), attract and retain high-value associates, and grow the Advisory organization with a heavy focus on client satisfaction metrics. This position has direct responsibility for revenue, growth, and retention associated with the Advisory business.Job Duties
- Serve as the recognized leader of the Advisory business within Wealth Management
- Manage and take responsibility for the P&L of the overall Advisory business
- Help drive and evolve the strategic direction of the Advisory business, considering factors such as industry trends, regulatory environments, client feedback, revenue opportunity, and competitive analysis.
- Achieve Advisory group revenue goals, client satisfaction levels, and Product delivery targets.
- Management oversight for wealth-based sales efforts across both new business and existing advisors
- Ensure that all team members adhere to corporate policies and procedures.
- Review and assess personnel for compensation and promotion purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience successfully recruiting and building world class teams.
- Prior experience either building or leading a business in the wealth management advisoryspace
- Wealth Management industry experience
- Responsibility running a business with P&L implications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable leadership qualities and ability to motivate the team and hold them accountable for all metrics
- Ability to make tough decisions, to change and adapt quickly, while remaining focused on customers and executing business initiatives.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence internal business partners in a matrixed work environment
- A customer orientation that allows him/her to solicit, acquire, and act on information from customers concerning their current and future needs, issues, and challenges.
- Experience managing a large portfolio of strategic relationships and building senior level relationships.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Masters and Industry accreditations preferred).
- 10+ years of industry experience.
- Specific knowledge of the investment industry (financial instruments, workflows, major players, trends, etc.).
- Strong management background; ability to work both tactically and strategically.
- A strong leadership profile coupled with outstanding verbal and written communications.
- Superb business judgment and ability to think through complex business issues.
- Critical assessment capability –ability to maintaina very high bar and drive excellence in work products, services, hiring, etc.
- Series 7, 65 or 66 Licensing required
