Under minimal supervision, the Facility Production Lead will provide hands-on management/oversight of the orientation, training, and the quality productivity of all production associates. Additionally, the Facility Production Lean is to be the driving force behind achieving the stated performance standards, quality standards, safety standards and other objectives.
The Facility Production Lead will direct the activities of all production.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day-to-day operation of all manufacturing.
- Responsible for the health and safety of all manufacturing employees.
- Responsible for scheduling and execution of schedule.
- Responsible for staffing of all manufacturing on day to day basis. Must possess the ability to train/cross train new and existing employees and develop teamwork. Must be a strong team player.
- Responsible for quality of all manufactured materials.
- Responsible for changes and execution of schedule on a daily basis. Thoroughness and attention to details, with an ability to adhere to a timeline to ensure success.
- Responsible for the quality of all incoming materials.
- Responsible for communicating information to the shop floor in compliance with HSE.
- Responsible for communicating information on work orders to the shop floor.
- Responsible for overall mechanical condition and running ability of all machinery. This will require working closely with the Maintenance and Technical Managers.
- Responsible for evaluations and any payroll changes on an employee-to-employee basis.
- Responsible for problem solving and direction and execution of plans.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to resolve disputes or problems with employees.
- Responsible for managing stored materials and accurate inventory management.
- Responsible for communication with management team, customer contacts, insource supervisors and associates.
- Responsible for working with Quality Control to resolve customer problems or complaints.
- Responsible for institution of new quality improvements.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. Must be a self-disciplined individual with strong work ethic and a initiative-taker.
- Must be able to have a good relationship with co-workers and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing work demands.
- Work in a safe manner at all times by following company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein.
Licensure/Certification:
Special Equipment or Other Requirements:
- Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Strong computer experience using spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills. Comfortable working on several tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to identify problems and offer real world resolutions within constrained timelines.
- Possess abstract reasoning, flexibility in thinking and an ability to visualize complex and innovative ideas. Have a sense of urgency, without overlooking critical details.
Education and Experience:
- High Diploma/GED
- Supervisor experience in a manufacturing or construction setting is preferred.
- Understanding of OSHA’s rules and regulations.
Typical Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, and twisting.
- Requires full range of motion including eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs. on a continuous basis.
- Able to wear required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working as required by the job.
