Reporting to the Senior Manager, Performance and based out of OverActive Media's Berlin Office the private chef is an integral member of the Moviestar KOI staff - helping to ensure all franchise operations align with OverActive Media's policies and processes. The successful candidate must be based in Germany or have valid documentation to work in Germany.
Position Overview:
As Private Chef, you will cater to our esports athletes in Berlin, crafting nutritious, appealing, and varied meals that support cognitive function, sustained energy, and overall well-being. This role requires basic knowledge of nutrition for high-performance athletes and close collaboration with our in-house nutritionist.
Responsibilities:
- Meal Planning and Preparation: Design and prepare daily meals tailored to individual players' needs, focusing on energy-boosting, brain-enhancing ingredients suitable for esports.
- Basic Nutrition Knowledge: Apply foundational understanding of nutrition to support performance and collaborate closely with our nutritionist to ensure optimal meal planning.
- Dietary Customization: Accommodate dietary restrictions, preferences, and requirements for each player to ensure optimal nutrition for their specific needs.
- Performance Monitoring: Work with the health and performance team to adjust meal plans based on players’ schedules, training intensity, and performance goals.
- Ingredient Sourcing: Ensure high-quality ingredients, emphasizing freshness, seasonality, and sustainability, and maintain relationships with local suppliers.
- Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean, organized kitchen; manage inventory; and adhere to food safety standards.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a private chef or in a high-performance catering role, preferably with elite athletes or high-performance teams.
- Basic knowledge of sports nutrition and ability to collaborate effectively with our nutritionist.
- Ability to create diverse, appealing meals that are nutritionally balanced and energy-boosting.
- Flexibility with scheduling and availability to support team meal needs, including during tournaments and training sessions.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in schedules or team requirements, ensuring reliable meal availability.
- English Skills: A base level of English is required to communicate effectively within our international environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of esports industry and lifestyle, including the unique demands placed on professional gamers.
- Experience working with nutritionists or performance coaches to optimize dietary planning.
