Job Summary:   


As a Demand Planning Analyst works with the team in India and the US to highlight and work in resolving any supply gaps. Demand Planning is constantly update in line with any major changes in forecast while ensuring uninterrupted supply of products in the US to clients Walgreens, CVS, Walmart and all other customers at the optimum cost. Individual works with the cross functional teams Operation, Regulatory, R&D and Quality teams in India and the US to constantly pursue cost reduction and continuous supply of drugs at low cost. 

Responsibilities:


Demand management: (60%)


  • Manage key metrics for assessing supply chain effectiveness for uninterrupted supply of products to customers.
  • Ensures that the change in forecast is communicated proactively to the plant Supply Team within SCM function in US and India and ensures that supply plans are corrected in the 2nd and 3rd month of a rolling Quarter. 
  • Works to improve supply chain management coordination with the manufacturing facilities of our parent company in India.
  • Understand and delivers services in conjunction with the demand, future product launches and customer bids.
  • Helps in monitoring master production schedule targeting the optimum inventory in line with inventory norms and utilizing internal planning systems.
  • Works with the team in ensuring new product launches by Granules Pharmaceuticals Inc and by Granules India Limited, ensuring on time delivery with consideration to project timelines and FDA approval. 
  • Integrates, third party manufacturing initiatives.
  • Works on Months on hand report to ensure that we get a snapshot of inventory on a weekly basis while working to automate it through Tableau or Power BI.
  • Work with supply team from India and US to ensure timely turn around on bids. 
  • If bid is won/business is lost- person responsible to ensure that supply plans from manufacturing plans gets corrected to ensure that we adhere to inventory levels. 
  • Works with the team to implement MRP in SAP and other tools to automate reports.
  • Highlights any risk on having product continuously proactively so that this can be addressed immediately. 
  • Overlook Inventory reconciliation between SAP and 3PL. Identify gaps and root causes and highlight so that course correction can happen. 

Procurement for R&D and Strategic product. (30%)


  • Work through different data bases to understand available source and assist in pushing for the best vendor based on the matrix developed internally. 
  • Looking at getting alternate vendor developed and help working on business case to justify the same and pushing the cross functional team to do so in a timely manner. This is to ensure cost reduction budgeted for is ensured within the period. 
  • Need constant follow up for all products that are being developed and maintain the data base of Vendors.
  • Working with cross functional team to identify and align materials in common needed by R&D and Commercial operations so that this is allocated for in MRP. 
  • Assist building project management tracker for each new launch within the SCM function and ensure that inventory is there timely. 

System Analyst (10%)


  • Understand the different systems used and help enhance current systems with possible plug ins or capabilities using the existing system. 
  • Understand end to end Serialization process
  • Work on improving the Master template and updating the same for new launches. 

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's or Master's in Business Management/ Other Analytical field/ Supply Chain or Logistics Management 
  • 2-5 years of experience in a demand planning role within manufacturing industry- Pharma industry expereince is a plus
  • MRP Experience required
  • Expertise with dashboards is a plus 
  • Experience working on SAP SD module a plus
  • Good attitude to learn quickly and ability to adapt to changing requirements 
  • Willing to be cross trained in MRP for plant and procurement for plant.
