About the role
You will work closely within a collaborative cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, business analysts, and another designer to create, ship, and iteratively improve the tools and features OJO offers to the real estate agents and teams as well as the end-to-end experiences of home buyers and sellers. Our product, design, and engineering (PDE) team has an aim of delivering results through creativity, holding itself accountable to drive business growth through a continually improving user experience.

What you’ll do
- Join the “Monetization” team, whose focus is creating meaningful and mutually successful connections between home shoppers and sellers and the right real estate professionals.
- Partner with Product peers to develop an end-to-end design vision for how OJO can guide the “hand-raiser” consumer journey and deliver consistent value to real estate agents and teams that use OJO’s services
- Work in close collaboration with peers and stakeholders across the business, from consumer to agent, to ensure we are driving meaningful impact for our consumers and our customers.
- Strategize with product, design, and engineering peers to ensure that the improvements proposed and implemented by PDE support OJO’s overall business goals
- Conduct user research and usability tests with real estate agents and teams to better understand key user problems and develop hypotheses on what OJO can do to help solve those problems
- Create production-ready designs and flows that are user-friendly, metric-driven, and engaging
- Work with engineering to create feasible yet impactful solutions
- Evangelize product design by cultivating a culture of sharing, actively encouraging and enabling others to openly share knowledge, ideas, resources, and information with one another
What we need from you
- 5+ years of experience designing world-class web apps and/or mobile apps
- Research-backed case studies that demonstrate a history of developing compelling solutions and delivering measurable business impact
- Proficiency with design software such as Figma, research tools, and prototyping tools
- Curiosity about human behavior and interest in the way people think
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven track record of presenting designs to cross-functional teams and evangelizing UX to a broad organization
- Familiarity with responsive web, iOS, and Android design standards
- Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to pursue business outcomes in an agile product development environment
- Comfortable making data-driven decisions to guide design
- Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred in graphic design, HCI, UX, a related area of study, or equivalent work experience

- Experience in building at-scale consumer facing web products
- A passion for quantitatively analyzing user behavior and defining user-focused key performance indicators to measure success
