CPower is based in Baltimore, MD., and is owned by LS Power, a development, investment and operating company focused on the power and energy infrastructure sector.We are looking for a Cloud Architecture Intern to work alongside experienced cloud architects to understand the intricacies of cloud technologies and contribute to real-world projects.

This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions.  

Program Overview


This paid internship program will run for 11 weeks beginning June 2, 2025 and ending August 15, 2025.

This is a hybrid position with the intern working remotely and at our office in Baltimore, MD. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on cloud technologies, platforms, and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Design and Architecture: Assist in designing and developing cloud-based solutions, including infrastructure as code (IaC) and cloud-native applications.
  • Implementation and Deployment: Deploy and configure cloud resources, utilizing tools like Terraform.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor cloud environments, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.
  • Security and Compliance: Contribute to ensuring the security and compliance of cloud-based systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, DevOps engineers, and security experts.

Requirements


  • Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of networking, security, and database concepts.
  • A passion for technology and a desire to learn.
