As an E-Discovery Case Manager, you will act as the primary interface and point of contact with our corporate and law firm clients using Exterro Review (including Smart Breach Review and Data Subject Access Request software). You will be a member of the Case Management services team reporting to the Director, Case Management Services, working on individual legal matters and taking on primary responsibility for driving forward matter-specific initiatives across the EDRM.
The Case Manager’s role is day-to-day management of all E-Discovery work on a matter, including, but not limited to, client training and communications, coordinating collections tracking and handling for data ingestion, early case assessment and the use of Advanced Artificial Intelligence, review design and setup (including privilege log and redaction setup), production management, and providing updates to the client/counsel regarding work progress and the overall matter status. The Case Manager is the closest to the documents and the substantive discovery issues in the matter and in that role is responsible for identifying opportunities for Exterro to provide the customer additional solutions throughout the lifecycle of the matter.
Responsibilities:
- Provide case kickoff materials to counsel, which include materials on the following: review memorandum template, example privilege log and privilege review memorandum, production specifications form, requested documents list, and information about Advanced Artificial Intelligence with TAR and CAL capabilities
- Assist with early case assessment and planning, which may include a discussion about the status of legal holds, collections, and discovery within the matter (including the status and substance of any discovery or ESI protocol, and confidentiality order)
- Provide or coordinate training on the use of the software as necessary
- Guide the development and strategy for review, privilege logging and/or redactions
- Ensure the creation and delivery of progress reports and metrics, including ESI processing/exception reports, daily review progress reports, bi-weekly master tracking reports, and privilege log drafting status, etc.
- Escalate issues that need clarification and/or input with the client or the internal Exterro team, to work toward the prompt resolution of any open issues
- Update, gather and distill internal data metrics, for periodic reporting and billing and develop the content of slides to review with the client during periodic client meetings
Requirements:
- 5+ years of work experience with 3+ years of E-Discovery project management experience preferred
- Licensed attorney in at least one jurisdiction
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, responsiveness, and attention to detail
- Proven training and presentation skills with experience presenting both in-person and remotely using Google Meet or a similar web presentation tool
- High level of professionalism

The salary range for this remote position is $85,000-$110,000 per year, based on skills, experience and qualifications.
