CPower is based in Baltimore, MD., and is owned by LS Power, a development, investment and operating company focused on the power and energy infrastructure sector.We are looking for a Business Intelligence Developer Intern to be a part of Sales Operations within the Solution and Strategy Team.
This intern will be partnering with various CPower stakeholders to enable the availability of data from our various systems. This intern will review our reporting backlog and collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver business dashboards within PowerBi. The enablement of this data to the CPower Team will equip our business stakeholders with readily available data to make decisions to best support the company. This individual should be able to coordinate requirements gathering, gap analysis, and be inquisitive to understand the business process to develop optimal dashboards. In addition, this role requires individuals to communicate effectively to both non-technical and technical team members across functional teams including executive management. They will be expected to support education and training to the end users of the dashboard in partnership with the Sales Operations Training team.
Success for this intern would be to deliver at least 5 operational reports by the conclusion of their internship.
Program Overview
This paid internship program will run for 11 weeks beginning June 2, 2025 and ending August 15, 2025.
This is a hybrid position with the intern working remotely and at our Baltimore office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Solution and Strategy Support team members to develop reports and advanced analytics using data warehousing concepts and technologies.
- Partner with business leaders to develop innovative ways to deliver dashboards, reports and queries using tools such as Python and Microsoft's BI Stack (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SSAS, SSRS).
- Effectively communicate with business partners to understand business needs and translate to BI solutions.
- Create and maintain documentation including requirements, designers, user manuals and data dictionaries.
- Develop reports from an existing business intelligence data architecture & defined data model.
Requirements
- Rising Junior or rising Senior
- Majoring in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field
- Strong critical / analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience in manipulating data using Python, SQL
- Excellent facilitation and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills and the ability to apply these concepts to practical business situations
