About the Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Controller to join our dynamic finance team. This is a high visibility role responsible for financial activities of project44, ensuring compliance and providing accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management.

Key Accountabilities:


  • Lead Corporate accounting team in technical excellence in GAAP and IFRS, including any other international standards.
  • Lead the monthly close process, flash reporting, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations, and analyzing accounting data.
  • Assist in detailed analysis of budget vs. actual and monthly reporting package, to assist in ensuring complete and accurate financial statements.
  • Prepare Annual audit report including footnote preparation and financial disclosures.
  • Supervise the Company's accounting policies, particularly complex and non-routine issues, to ensure ongoing compliance with US GAAP, ASC 606 and IFRS.
  • Advise and/or prepare technical memos and analysis to support accounting treatment and other finance implications for complex areas such as business combinations, consolidations, revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation, debt and equity transactions, among others.
  • Manage project44’s external audits (and any quarterly or other interim reviews) for the consolidated company.
  • Advise and implement internal controls related to reporting process and finance functions including documentation and adherence of department policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals are aligned with overall company objectives.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive.
  • In-office Commitment: This position requires a commitment to contribute to our collaborative culture by working in-office three days weekly

Requirements & Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 8+ years’ experience with a strong understanding of GAAP
  • Experience with software industry/SAAS and CPA required.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong critical thinking and internal and external stakeholder & team management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Maintain a high level of dependability and reliability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially involving process documentation.
  • Demonstrate a high level of continuous process improvement to ensure efficiency and compliance in Accounting/Finance activities.
