This individual will work fully remote from the USA.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Designs and develops complex software products or major enhancements to existing software:
- Documents development requirements for multiple system components (i.e., database, applications, operations, system environments, etc.).
- Consults with users or other IT Professionals to resolve issues with programs.
- Contributes to the development of project plans and timelines. Provides estimates for planned work.
- Identifies, analyzes, and resolves problems relating to systems integration compatibility and multiple platforms.
- Optimizes system robustness by improving system availability, reliability, performance, scalability and maintainability.
- Recommends appropriate strategic actions. Assesses the business and organizational implications of key applications technology alternatives for wide-impact initiatives.
- Exhibits expert business knowledge and leverages strong customer relationships.
- May have responsibility for performance and coaching of staff and may have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in software development life cycle with design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance.
- High proficiency in Node.js with 3+ years of hands-on experience. Additional experience with C# and/or Python is a plus.
- Expertise in building testing automation with unit tests, integration tests, E2E tests and performance tests. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Playwright and Postman are preferred.
- 2+ years experience with Event-driven architecture in AWS ecosystem with AWS EventBridge, APIs, Microservices, Lambdas and Step Functions.
- 3+ years of experience with both NoSQL and SQL databases. Hands-on experience with DynamoDB and MySQL are preferred.
- Experience with IaC automation using Terraform with a CI/CD pipeline like AWS CodePipeline.
- 1+ years of experience with Node.js is a plus.
- 1+ years of experience with AWS QuickSight and AWS Athena is a plus.
