Complete Network is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Systems Engineer with a focus on project work and incident response (IR), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing various IT projects that contribute to the enhancement, stability, and scalability of our client’s technology infrastructure. You will also be collaborating on complex security incidents and helping our clients navigate the best possible recovery path forward. Your expertise will play a critical role in driving innovation, efficiency, security, durability, resilience, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:Project Planning and Design:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline and budget estimates.
  • Help to design and validate innovative and practical solutions that align with business needs and industry best practices.
  • Deploy and configure hardware, software, and network components as required for project initiatives.
  • Ensure smooth integration of new solutions into the existing IT environment, minimizing disruptions and risks.
  • Perform system upgrades, migrations, and expansions while maintaining system integrity.

Technical Documentation:

  • Create detailed technical documentation, including system diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, changes, and outcomes.
  • Provide clear documentation for end-users and support teams to ensure proper system usage and troubleshooting.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security measures and best practices to safeguard project assets and data.
  • Ensure project solutions adhere to industry compliance standards and regulations.
  • Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to project implementations.
  • Utilize a methodical approach to troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions, minimizing both downtime and impact.

Incident Response:

  • Rapidly deploy expertise to help victims navigate IR.
  • Closely collaborate with market vCIO to determine the best response to a security incident.
  • When necessary, travel to client sites to facilitate remediation and recovery efforts.
  • Assist clients in full network and data recovery efforts while mitigating costs and reputational damage.
  • Consult with vCIOs and clients on the best path forward and future prevention.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Ability to travel for up to two weeks at a time.
  • Familiarity with IR, remediation, and recovery practices.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Systems Engineer, with a track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects.
  • Proficiency in systems administration, network protocols, hardware configuration, and software deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, and containerization.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and levels.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), etc., are a plus.
